This past week has been so much fun! With a visit to Eric Community library and Rocky Mountain Elementary School, my passion for sharing music with young people, their families and their teachers has yet again been renewed! I was thrilled to share my "We Are All Composers" program with a group of children at the library and the Denver Post dropped in to check it out. The pre-schoolers at Rocky Mountain Elementary School sang and danced with me in my "Bloomin Music" program. Giving exposure to the fun you can have with music in your life is one of my favorite parts of working with young people!
I'm thrilled to start this new year with a renewed sense of direction and purpose. I've been fortunate to spend time with family and friends and have been able to ground myself in the love and joy I find in the simple things.
Today I'm getting back to the basics with my daily routine and excited to have music as my life's work. In the next month I'll be sharing music with students at Lafayette and Rocky Elementary Schools. I love the anticipation of their smiles as I plan for these sessions.
I'm also in the studio working on several exciting projects. I'm invigorated when I face the creation process and humbled when I'm in the editing process. Each phase has a new learning to offer me.
I hope music brought you some joy during the holiday season and you will enjoy this JJ Heller song, "This Year!" It's my January favorite!
