An incredible team of people!

People ask me all the time, how it is that I can work all year on a project that only lasts one day. Well, there is actually a ton of work that goes on behind the scenes when you are coordinating a global event like World Singing Day coming up on Saturday, October 20, 2018. This year, I've had the pleasure of working with an incredible team of people all over the world. My days have been filled with emails and texts and skype sessions and my heart has been filled with gratitude for each of these fabulous people. Let me introduce you to them.

Scott Johnson is the founder of World Singing Day.
Peter Sharp is the founder of The Liberators and has helped us spread WSD around the globe this year.
Sue Ross is the founder and director of Choirs4Kids and Vivid Voices singing groups in Australia. This year, she started the WSD Australia website and helped coordinate events all over Australia.
Christos Pantazis is the co-founder of Oxygenna and the creator of our amazing World Singing Day website.
Sridhar Ranganathan is the CEO and founder of the Shankar Mahadavan Academy, Cloodon, Meghshala & Shrenis. Sridhar has been a WSD board member since the very beginning.
Paul Andrews is the founder of The Bridge Studios. Paul helped us record and master the 2018 Song of the Year, Ode to Song.
Jeff & Paige are some of Boulder’s favorite kids musicians and eco-educators. This year, they will be kicking-off our Sing Along Boulder Festival at the epicenter of World Singing Day.

These people are making a difference in a big way. The work they are doing fosters love and kindness in our world and for that I am truly thankful.

I hope you will join this year’s World Singing Day social music initiative. Learn more here.

World Singing Day - An incredible global social music initiative! 20. October 2018

Sing together. Unite the world.
— Scott Johnson, founder of World Singing Day

World Singing Day is coming up soon on the 20th of October. This day is not about performing or how good you can sing, but rather it’s about experiencing the joy of singing and connecting with others in your community and creating a little more peace and harmony in the world.

It can be as simple as singing with friends and family in your home, to singing with people in your community in a public space.

Join the global event as a basic participant, a global singer, an event organizer, or a helper, whatever you feel comfortable.

Hope to see you singing together with your friends, family in your community on October 20 AND STAY ENTHUSIC OUT THERE!

Heather Stenner

Heather Stenner has a passion for life! Her passions play out with music and children of all ages. Heather grew up in the Midwest and realized the importance of each day from a very young age. Her mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor when Heather was only 5. The doctors gave her mother 6 months to live. It was during the next 15 years that Heather developed her charismatic and joyful course for her own life! Her mother showed her strength and courage and an intense compassion for others and their suffering. Her mother passed away when Heather was 20 years old. Heather vowed she would continue to live each day as if it were her last. To treat people with compassion and believe in the love we all share for one another. At the age of 37, she became an orphan. Her father passed away from pancreatic cancer. Through it all, Heather realized that MUSIC was one of her coping mechanisms to deal with all the stress that cancer brought into their families lives. She vowed to share her love of music with children, so that it might also be a positive force in their lives! To this day, Heather creates music that has soul and passion. She hopes everyone will remember with the dawning of each day; we are all musical. Feel it in your soul. Keep it to yourself... or give it away.
