I had such a lovely evening out at our local State Park last week. The skies were filled hazy from smoke blown in from the western states. The sun was a rosy pink.
Sitting together around the campfire, I met Lynda Stern and her two year old grand daughter. During our conversation, I found out that she plays guitar and her grand daughter and her sing together as often as possible. The guitar went into her hands and as we sang harmonies together, the songs ranged from The "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to "How Much is that Doggie in the Window." It was a magical evening for me. There is just nothing better than singing harmonies with someone you've just met. We both knew the 'language' of music and shared some smiles as we listened to each other's dialects and vocabulary.
So thankful there are people in the world like Lynda. She is sharing a love of music with the next generation. Keep it up!
Hope to see you around the campfire again sometime,
